| The next weather system will bring increasing chances for thunderstorms to the area by Thursday evening. Showers and storms will become more widespread by Friday evening, continuing at times with a few different rounds over the weekend into Monday. It will not be raining at every moment for a given area, but the 72 hour rainfall total is likely to range between 0.25” and 1.00” ending Monday evening for much of NE Montana. Some areas may see greater totals where steadier storms are more persistent. As a result, gumbo roads are possible. Monitor small streams and poor drainage locations such as low lying areas and open fields. This is just an early look. Importantly, a shift in storm track may result in changes to this forecast. Please check the latest updates as the weekend approaches. |
